Funding is intended for the purchase of materials and supplies for use when conducting classroom sessions, assemblies, after-school activities, and community events. The goal of the program is to encourage teachers and organizations to participate in Safer Internet Day, an annual global celebration where everyone is empowered to use technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively.

Funding is intended to cover the production costs of short story films on the topics of health and wellness, science, education, art, climate and environment, culture, history, language, and empowerment. Finished videos are expected to be shared in a community engagement activity that is determined by the partner organization.

Grants of up to $5,000 to USA swimming teams to help with recovery from a disaster. Funding is intended to provide relief from losses experienced by the team due to an instance of destruction or devastation, such as a wildfire or hurricane. Priority consideration will be given to requests that demonstrate the most significant need. Requests for swim team dues relief shall only be for swimmers and/or families who have been severely impacted by a disaster.

Grants of up to $5,000 to USA individuals and small teams to carry out humanitarian projects that have an aspect of mountaineering. Funding is intended for projects to benefit local communities in places with a connection to the mountaineering community, whether domestically or internationally.

This program is open to artists currently teaching at a K-12 level or in a higher education entity, and those who identify as freelance teaching artists. Artists will balance personal work time with opportunities to interact and share their work and process with other professionals. This 10-day residency is open to artists working in all disciplines, including visual, performing, and literary arts. The program provides ample time to share work in progress, enjoy recreation, and connect with other professionals.

Contract for services to a USA, Canada, or International artist or artist team to create a piece of artwork to commemorate the Holocaust. The artistic piece will incorporate a vast collection of buttons to honor the memory of the war's murdered children, to be displayed at a designated site in Massachusetts. The purpose of the project is to commemorate these children and raise awareness about the atrocities of the Holocaust, fostering reflection and education among the community.

Grants of up to $6,000 to USA nonprofit organizations to support the provision of literacy services for students. Funding is intended for general operations, including but not limited to equipment, supplies, salaries, space rental, technology, teacher stipends, and more. Proposals may also focus on a particular project or new programming effort.

Fellowships of $5,000 to USA high school teachers to pursue writing projects. Applications are welcome from current teachers of grades 9-12 who consider themselves creative writers. Funding is intended to support the writing of new works in progress. The goal of the program is to allow fellows to focus on their writing over summer break.

Competition for USA, Canada, and International photographers for images in a selection of categories. There will be an award for the overall winner of the open competition and another for female photographers entering the competition, as well as 15 shortlisted photographers per category. Fellowship of $20,000 to a USA or Canada lighting educator at an academic institution for the opportunity to work in the industry or at an IHE with an established lighting program. The program is intended to expand the fellow's knowledge of architectural lighting, thereby improving their instruction on the subject. The participant will spend a significant portion of a semester in the lighting industry working with a manufacturing or design firm, or at a college or university with a thriving lighting program working with an established professor.

Grants to USA and territories nonprofit and for-profit organizations, agencies, IHEs, and tribal entities for AIDS research conducted by investigators from diverse backgrounds. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to complete. Funding is intended to enable a pool of investigators from diverse backgrounds to submit subsequent R01 or equivalent applications through the support of these small research grants, as well as receive additional independent research grant awards, produce research results, and author publications.

Award to a USA, Canada, or International emerging woman playwright to recognize exceptional creative talent. The award is intended to honor full-length works written for theater production. In addition to a monetary prize, the winner will be given the opportunity to present a public reading and participate in a summer workshop as part of the Powerhouse Theater Program at Vassar College. All women, trans, and non-binary playwrights who consider themselves emerging (as distinct from fledgling or mid-career playwrights) are eligible to apply.

Successful applicants will participate in an entrepreneurship accelerator. Sessions take place virtually and are given by a live instructor. The program will take place over an eight-week period.

Opportunity for USA K-12 and postsecondary educators, faculty, administrators, librarians, and museum staff to participate in short-term seminars abroad. The purpose of the program is to provide opportunities for educators in the humanities and social sciences fields to expand their knowledge of cultures and peoples from other countries. For the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 competition, seminars will be offered to Peru and Uruguay (elementary/middle teachers or administrators, Grades K-8), India (secondary teachers or administrators, Grades 9-12), and Greece and Türkiye (postsecondary educators and administrators).

Grants to USA nonprofit and for-profit organizations, IHEs, and government agencies to strengthen the quality of STEM education for the general public. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to complete. Funding is intended for a broad range of projects that provide the public with access to STEM learning.

Grants to USA and territories nonprofit organizations for activities to advance oral health equity. Applicants must submit a concept paper prior to submitting a full application. Funding is intended for strategies to implement reform in systems and structures that foster disparities in treatment, care, and outcomes.

Grants to USA nonprofit organizations, government agencies, tribal entities, and IHEs for humanities programs that serve the general public. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to complete. Funding is intended to support projects that reach broad and diverse public audiences in non-classroom settings in the United States. Projects should engage with ideas that are accessible to the general public and employ appealing interpretive formats.

Grants to USA and territories nonprofit organizations, agencies, IHEs, and tribal entities to develop and produce humanities-related media projects. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to complete. Funding is intended for projects such as the development, production, and distribution of media that engage general audiences with humanities ideas.

Grants to USA nonprofit institutions for research to improve the lives of American children and youth up to age 25. Funding is intended to support the effective exploration of policies and activities that address inequality for young people. Priority is given to studies about reducing inequality on the basis of race, ethnicity, economic standing, language minority status, or immigrant origins.

Grants to USA charter organizations and school districts to support the development of new and innovative schools. Hybrid and virtual models may be eligible. The purpose of the funding program is to enhance outcomes for all students, with special emphasis on students of color, those experiencing poverty, and those with learning differences.

Grants to USA nonprofit organizations for research to benefit youth throughout the country. This program funds investigation into how and what type of research is used by policymakers and others when developing policies and programs affecting young people ages 5-25 in the United States. The Foundation's goal is to determine whether improving research use leads to improved youth outcomes. Two types of grants are available: Major Grants and smaller Officers' Research Grants.
